DEPOSIT POLICY: A $200.00 per person deposit is required to secure a reservation for your tour which is not considered firm until the deposit is received. The deposit, however, is fully refundable if you cancel within 72 hours of booking the tour. All cancellations will only be accepted in writing. Email your cancellation to dewi@thedaywetravel.com including your reservation number, full name, and date of travel. After 72 hours, the deposit becomes non-refundable and standard cancellation fees apply. See cancellation fee schedule below.

ITINERARY

DAY  1 - Arrive San Francisco/Bay Area                                                                                                      

Today board your flight bound for the Bay Area to begin your San Francisco & Wine Country getaway! Upon arrival, meet your Tour Director and transfer to San Francisco to begin a 2-night stay in one of the world’s most iconic cities. This afternoon settle into your beautiful hotel in Fisherman’s Wharf. Tonight enjoy a Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant with bay views with your travel companions. Meal – (D)

Overnight: San Francisco, Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman’s Wharf or similar

DAY 2 – San Francisco City Tour                                                                                                                     

This morning, board the coach for a San Francisco City Tour to see North Beach, Chinatown, Union Square, San Francisco City Hall, and Golden Gate Park. If weather permits, visit Twin Peaks for spectacular views of the "City by the Bay." Take the rest of the day at leisure to stroll, shop, and maybe even ride the world famous cable cars! Perhaps browse the shops at Pier 39, sample a chowder-filled sourdough bread bowl, or treat yourself to an ice cream sundae at Ghiradelli Square. If you want to see the city from the water, hop aboard a one-hour narrated cruise. The opportunities are endless. Meal – (B)

Overnight: San Francisco, Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman’s Wharf or similar

DAY 3 – San Francisco- Sausalito-Sonoma Valley                                                                                     

This morning see Fort Point, which has played various roles throughout its 150-year+ history in San Francisco. Then enjoy an optional walk or ride across the world’s most photographed bridge, the Golden Gate Bridge. Arrive at Vista Point for more magnificent views of the Bridge, the Bay, and the SF skyline before continuing on to the floating home community of Sausalito. This afternoon, travel north to Sonoma Valley to experience your first of three wineries in beautiful wine country! Later check into your hotel in Sonoma County for a 3-night stay. Evening at leisure. Meal – (B)

DAY 4 - Napa Valley Wine Train-Napa Winery Visit                                                                          

After breakfast, travel to California’s world-renowned Napa Valley where gorgeous wineries abound. Board the Napa Valley Wine Train to feast on a multiple-course gourmet lunch with wine tasting as you ride along the tracks through this scenic wine region. This memorable dining experience in carefully restored Pullman rail cars evokes the spirit of early 1900’s luxury rail travel. Next, enjoy the beautiful grounds & tastings at a local winery in Napa Valley. Later, travel back to the hotel for the rest of the evening at leisure.  Meal – (B, L)

DAY 5 – See the Redwoods-Guerneville-Korbel Winery-Farewell Dinner                                                

This morning after breakfast, get excited for a stroll through a state park to see some of the tallest and oldest Redwoods trees in the world. Then sit back, relax, and enjoy wine country scenery as we head to the Sonoma Coast for lovely views. Stop for photos along the way. Next, enjoy a visit to Korbel Winery for lunch on your own at its gourmet deli, followed by a tour with tastings of its world famous sparkling wine. This evening, come together for tonight’s Farewell Dinner at a popular local restaurant. (Meal – B, D)

DAY 6 – San Francisco International Airport                                                                                       

Today, transfer back to San Francisco International Airport for your flight home with wonderful memories of your visit to the Bay Area and Wine Country. Meal – (B)

EXCLUSIONS

• Airfare - please book independently and arrive in SFO sometime between 2:00 and 3:00 PM PST. For your return flight please book a flight after 12:00 PM PST or later. We will be driving in from Sonoma County, and the commute takes at least 1.5 hours to reach SFO. Airfare can be booked through The Day We Travel. There is a service fee of 10% of the total cost of airfare.
