8 days. 7 nights. Three states (AZ, UT, NV). 8 cities, including Sedona, Flagstaff, and Las Vegas. Three National Parks: Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion. One state park (Valley of Fire). Two National Monuments (off-the-beaten-path sites in the Southwest - no other tour company goes here — see below). Glen Canyon Dam and a Lake Powell cruise that takes you to stunning Antelope Canyon round out the trip!
**NOTE** An initial deposit of $200.00 is due at time of booking. Total Cost of Tour (land only) is $3,499.00 based on double occupancy per person. Half the tour cost after deposit ($1,649.50) is due by April 5, 2024. The remaining half ($1,649.50) is due by August 9, 2024. See tour details below.

DEPOSIT POLICY: A $200.00 per person deposit is required to secure a reservation for your tour, which is not considered firm until the deposit is received. The deposit, however, is fully refundable if you cancel within 72 hours of booking the tour. All cancellations will only be accepted in writing. Email your cancellation to dewi@thedaytravel.com including your reservation number, full name, and date of travel. After 72 hours, the deposit becomes non-refundable and standard cancellation fees apply. See cancellation fee schedule below.

DAY-TO-DAY ITINERARY
DAY 1 - Arrive Phoenix-Old Town Scottsdale
Today board your flight to Phoenix to begin your journey through the Southwest. Upon arrival, meet your Tour Director and travel to Old Town Scottsdale, a charming retail and dining district with a Southwestern flair. Have a light lunch and/or browse the boutique shops and art galleries. Later, transfer to your hotel. Tonight enjoy a Welcome Dinner at a local Tex Mex restaurant with your travel companions. DAY 2 - Heard Museum-Tuzigoot NM-Sedona-Flagstaff
This morning after breakfast, board the coach for a visit to The Heard Museum, a 1929 establishment devoted to the art & culture of the Native Americans of the Southwest with displays of basketwork, pottery, textiles, jewelry, and a large collection of Kachina dolls. Then head north to tour the largest and best preserved pueblo ruins of the Sinagua people. Later on, travel to Sedona and take in breathtaking "Red Rock Country" aboard an open-air trolley. This evening, head to Flagstaff for a two-night stay. Meal: (B) Overnight: Flagstaff, AZ - Doubletree by Hilton or similar
DAY 3 - Seligman-Grand Canyon-South Rim
After breakfast, travel west to Seligman, AZ, known as the "first stop heading west on the longest uninterrupted stretch of historic Route 66" and be transported back into time when this kitschy, little town experienced its real heyday following WWII. Then head north to the Grand Canyon, the most popular national park of the Southwest. Enjoy a walk along the rim, a Ranger-led talk, or a browse through a bookstore, shop, or photo studio gallery. Late afternoon, continue to the eastern most point of the South Rim and take in a gorgeous view of the Colorado River from Desert View Watchtower. Return to Flagstaff for a leisurely evening. DAY 4 - Cameron-Glen Canyon-Lake Powell-Kanab
This morning, head to an eclectic trading post owned by Navajo Nation en route to Glen Canyon Dam, the second highest concrete-arch dam in the U.S. constructed to store/provide water and hydroelectric power to the West. Enjoy the view from this incredible engineering feat, then gather for a beautiful lunch buffet overlooking Lake Powell, the man-made reservoir as a result of the Dam. After lunch, take in stunning views of Navajo sandstone and red and burnt orange rocks on a narrated boat tour through the narrow canyons of Lake Powell. DAY 5 - Pipe Spring NM-Bryce Canyon National Park
After leaving the hotel this morning, head just over the UT/AZ border to one of the best kept secrets of the National Parks system: Pipe Spring National Monument, an historic pioneer fort built to protect Mormon missionaries from attack by Native Americans. Learn why this particular area was so special and what life was like in the 1800's. Then, travel through sagebrush landscape to Bryce Canyon National Park, a national park with a beauty all its own. Take a leisurely drive with photo stops to capture the bright red, yellow, and pink pillars called “hoodoos.” Then, take the opportunity to enjoy a walk along the rim at your leisure. DAY 6 - Zion National Park-Valley of Fire SP-Las Vegas
This morning, travel to Zion National Park with its dramatic landscape of sculptured canyons and soaring cliffs resembling temples and cathedrals. Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour on an open-air tram and experience the beauty of the park up close and personal. You may wish to hike, or enjoy a leisurely walk on one of the many trails, or visit the museum and bookstore. Later this afternoon, spend time among ancient petrified trees and petroglyphs dating back more than 2,000 years in bright red Aztec sandstone outcrops known as Valley of Fire. End the day in Las Vegas, one of America's most flamboyant cities. Your resort hotel is located in the heart of the “Strip” for easy access to all the mega-casinos, amusement parks, restaurants, and shopping. Meal: (B) Overnight: Las Vegas, NV - Tropicana or similar
DAY 7 - Las Vegas-Rest of Day Free
Start the morning with a sightseeing tour of the city that never sleeps. See the famous Las Vegas sign, the world's largest chocolate fountain, the second-largest golden nugget ever discovered, and more. Return to the hotel for the balance of the day on your own, or you may opt to join an excursion to the world famous Hoover Dam or the Mob Museum, a history museum dedicated to featuring the artifacts, stories, and history of organized crime in the U.S. This evening, join your travel companions for a special Farewell Dinner. DAY 8 - Las Vegas International Airport-Fly home
Your tour ends this morning with a drive to McCarran International Airport for your flight home with wonderful memories of your sojourn through the Southwest. Meal: (B)
